Rice recipe for chelo kebab


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (200 grams) of basmati rice
  • 2 cups (400 ml) of water
  • 1 tablespoon (15 grams) of butter
  • 1 teaspoon (5 grams) of salt
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of vegetable oil (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Put the rice in a bowl, add water, and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. The rice should soften.
  2. After soaking, rinse the rice well with cold water and drain.
  3. In a pot, melt the vegetable oil and butter.
  4. Add the washed rice to the pot and stir for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add salt, pour in 2 cups of water, and mix.
  6. Once the water starts boiling, lower the heat, cover the pot, and cook until the rice absorbs all the water (about 15-20 minutes).
  7. After cooking, let the rice rest for 10 minutes without stirring. Then, the rice is ready to serve.
