Ingredients:
- 1 cup (200 grams) of basmati rice
- 2 cups (400 ml) of water
- 1 tablespoon (15 grams) of butter
- 1 teaspoon (5 grams) of salt
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of vegetable oil (optional)
Instructions:
- Put the rice in a bowl, add water, and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. The rice should soften.
- After soaking, rinse the rice well with cold water and drain.
- In a pot, melt the vegetable oil and butter.
- Add the washed rice to the pot and stir for 2-3 minutes.
- Add salt, pour in 2 cups of water, and mix.
- Once the water starts boiling, lower the heat, cover the pot, and cook until the rice absorbs all the water (about 15-20 minutes).
- After cooking, let the rice rest for 10 minutes without stirring. Then, the rice is ready to serve.
